Jeanette Samuels, Principal
Sam is a graduate of the University of Nebraska and went on to receive her J.D. from Chicago-Kent College of Law in 2013. An experienced litigator, she is licensed to practice in the federal courts of Indiana, Illinois, Michigan, Nebraska, and Wisconsin. Sam specializes in civil rights and soft intellectual property law.
After witnessing the growing intersectionality between sports and civil rights, in 2020 Sam became a certified player representative in order to better empower the athletes who inspire us. Having built a law firm from the ground up, Sam knows what it takes to thrive in a fiercely competitive environment.
Grounded in integrity, guided by purpose, and governed by principle, Sam founded CNSL to provide the passionate advocacy that marginalized athletes deserve but, too often, lack.
When not working, Sam enjoys traveling and spending time with her nieces and nephews.
Lisa Hollyfield, Director of Business Operations
Lisa is an experienced office administrator with an extensive background in the legal services industry. Having successfully navigated those corridors, she is excited to use her skills to develop, organize, and maintain the internal operations of this boutique agency.
For Lisa, details are opportunities to develop depth. Her ingenuity and attention epitomizes this, ensuring that our clients always receive quality representation.
When not working, Lisa enjoys trying new foods and spending time with her family.
Leylanni Martinez, Director of Latin American Operations
Leylanni is an experienced administrator with a passion for helping people.
Her extensive background in immigration has provided Leylanni with invaluable experience in interpreting, drafting, and negotiating contracts and other legal documents throughout Latin America. She's ready to use this experience to help athletes find the perfect club for them in this burgeoning market.
Leylanni has seen and done it all, and she's ready to help you get there, too. With her trademark wit and sarcasm, she will help ensure that our clients always feel at home even when they're a world away.
When not working, Leylanni enjoys singing and spending time with her pets.
